Erica Bearss is an MBA professor at University Canada West (UCW). She holds an MBA in Leadership and Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, and a BA with honours in Modern Language and Literature from the University of Ottawa.
With over 20 years of experience in senior-level management and director-level roles, her expertise lies primarily in Marketing, Sales and Communications. She has worked as a Marketing and Communications senior executive for public and private companies in various industries.
At UCW, Erica teaches marketing and communications courses. She is also trilingual and currently serves on the Business Sustainability + Education Committee (EOI), the Board of Directors of Metro Theatre, and as UCW’s CAMAC Representative (2021).
She is passionate about education and her teaching style is dynamic, engaging, memorable, and often transformative. Her goal at UCW is to instill enthusiasm for learning within her students, whether in-person or online.
She has received multiple student satisfaction awards and has competed for Team Canada in the ITU triathlon races in London, UK, for the Province of Ontario in Ringette, and BC in AAA Ice Hockey.
