Tara Clowes is a highly accomplished and experienced MBA professor at University Canada West, where she teaches financial management. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of accounting, tax, and finance, Tara is well-equipped to guide and mentor her students to success.
Tara holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a major in International Business, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting from Dalhousie University. She is also a fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (legacy Chartered Accountant) and is currently completing her Doctorate of Business Administration at Athabasca University.
Throughout her professional career, Tara has held various senior and executive leadership positions in the public sector, as well as in professional accounting practice. She has been responsible for budgets upwards of $200 million, managed large teams of employees, and has extensive experience in accounting compliance, strategic leadership and asset management.
Tara has been an instructor in accounting, tax, and finance for many years, teaching both undergraduate and graduate students at various institutions, including Vancouver Community College, Langara College, Aurora College, and through the CPA professional education program. With her extensive professional experience and academic credentials, Tara is well-suited to help her students achieve their goals and succeed in their careers.
