Dr. Afshin Doust is a highly experienced and accomplished business professional and educator. He holds a Master of Business Administration from University Canada West (UCW) and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the International School of Business in Paris.
As an MBA professor at UCW, Dr. Doust teaches a variety of courses including strategy, ethics, business environment and governance. His teaching philosophy is to share real-life experiences in business with his students, to provide them with practical skills and knowledge to meaningfully engage and contribute to any organization they work with.
Dr. Doust has extensive experience in the business world, having been involved in various ventures in Vancouver since 1988. He has established and divested companies in various industries such as mortgage lending, real estate, import and export, investment management, trade brokerage and consulting. He also held positions in business development and relationship management in Fortune 500 companies. Currently, he is the CEO of a robotics company, Advanced Intelligent Systems, and teaches business courses at University Canada West and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. With such a wealth of experience and knowledge, Dr. Doust is an invaluable asset to the UCW MBA program, offering students a unique blend of theoretical and practical knowledge.
