University Canada West (UCW) establishes Startup Grind chapter

University Canada West has established a UCW chapter of Startup Grind.

Startup Grind is now the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators, and creators which was founded in Silicon Valley in 2010. The major aims of Startup Grind are to give startups the education and opportunities needed to build, grow and scale their companies through local events, conferences, and student and investor programs.

UCW’s chapter is led by Alexander Sakharov, Chapter Director and UCW MBA professor, who teaches entrepreneurship at University Canada West.

UCW recently hosted its first Startup Grind event for students. The free virtual event, First Steps to Start a Startup, featured Jake McEwan, a startup founder and CEO, mentor, and Managing Director at Gracorp, a real estate development company.
